Crisis? What Crisis?

Sometimes a crisis in a company can be used as an opportunity for a good relations.

In 1982 seven people died after taking medicine produced by a big American pharmaceutical company.

They had bought the contaminated medicine from different shops in the USA.

It was discovered that somebody had put cyanide poison in the bottle.

The company's sales quickly fell to just 8% of the total market.

The company knew that it had to deal with the situation quickly to protect its customers and its good name.

Just six months later, it was once again the market leader with 35% of sales in its market.
